Task Manager - Auto Server Update
Workamajig allows you to control whether your Workamajig Server is auto-updated with the latest releases. When the Workamajig engineer installs Workamajig on your server, the auto-update features will be checked unless you request otherwise.
We recommend that you enable Auto Update on the test Workamajig server and disable this on your live Workamajig server. This way, updates can be auto-updated on the test server first for you to test the new changes before you manually apply the update on the live server.
NOTE: Make sure to run the "WMJInstaller.exe" application using an Administrator account on that server.
Turn On/Off Auto Update
Edit Settings
This feature is edited from the server itself not via the Workamajig interface.
1. From the Workamajig server open the Workamajig Folder
2. Open Workamajig Task Manager folder
3. Double-click on WMJinstaller.exe
4. Click on Auto Update Settings tab
5. Edit the appropriate setting
6. Click Save Settings button > Click Close button.
Auto Check for Updates: Set the time that the system will check for updates. The date will ratchet forward following each check. Most will set this to happen sometime following your normal server maintenance routine.
Auto-Install Update/AutoInstall DB/AutoInstall Web/AutoInstall Task Manager: This tells the system to download and install the update package. You MUST select ALL the boxes if you want the system to auto-update. Deselect all to prevent auto-update.
Auto-Install Conversion: This is a legacy field that is necessary when converting from CMP to Workamajig. For new users of Workamajig, there is no effect whether you select or deselect this box.
Email Address to Notify: Enter the email address of the person to be notified when updates are available/applied. You can enter multiple email addresses separated by semi-colons. You can select the Test button next to the field to make sure that the notification email address is sent.
