General Errors and Troubleshooting
Browser | Calendar prints in Black and White using Chrome | Code String Error Message | Grammarly and other browser Plug-ins
This guide is for advanced computer users or your companies IT department to use as a resource when troubleshooting general issues with Workamajig.
Browser
Reload and Clear Browser Cache
If you get an error that says you need to "Reload" the application, yet when you click on Reload you get the error again, do the following:
- Close the Workamajig page, yet you keep the browser open on a different page, such as a popular search or news site. Next, go to the browser's settings to clear the cache.
NOTE: Each browser has the Clear Cache option in a different place and may call it something other than Cache. - Once the Cache is cleared, close the browser completely. You might even need to do a force close of the application or check the OS task manager to ensure none of its processes are running.
- Now open the browser once more and try logging back in.
Calendar prints in Black and White using Chrome
If using chrome when you click on More > Print from the Calendar, and this produces a black and white printout. Then from the Printer options in Chrome, drop-down the More Settings area and check the box for Background Graphics.
Code String Error Message
If you get an error that has all kinds of computer code, such as sptObjectError. Please take a screenshot of this error and send it to support@workamajig.com Also include the steps you took in getting this error, such as 1. Clicked Here, 2. Clicked There, 3. Etc.
Now if you do get this error, most likely you are going to need to close the screen you have open and not save changes, as it typically won't let you save the changes in this type of error. Try to reopen from where you last saved the record and see if you continue to get the error, or if it was a one-time occurrence.
Grammarly and other browser Plug-ins
While we do our best to ensure compatibility with all the popular browsers, we cannot guarantee compatibility with all browser Plug-ins. Grammarly being one them for example.
You can either run the browser in Incognito/Private mode (which disables plugins), or you can refer to the support site of those Plug-ins for more info.
