International settings [guide]
Though the Workamajig UI is English based, there are a few things you can do to help with your international team(s).
Culture | Timezone | Multi-currency
Culture
The culture setting in Workamajig affects the calendar, currency, symbols and numbers displayed in the system. By default, the culture is set to English (United States). There are 3 locations where the culture can be set:
1) Company level: Admin/Manager>System Setup>Account Information: Visual appearance
This setting will be used when any new employee is added to the system.
2) Office level: Admin/Manager>System Setup>Global Lists: Offices
This setting overrides the company-level setting. It will be used when you assign a new employee to the office
3) Employee level: Admin/Manager>Employee: Employee details
This setting overrides the office and company-level settings.
Timezone
The timezone setting in Workamajig affects the calendar. Meetings set up in "my" timezone will be displayed according to "your" timezone settings in your calendar. There are 3 locations where the timezone can be set:
1) Company level: Admin/Manager>System Setup>Account Information: Visual appearance
This setting will be used when any new employee/contact is added to the system
2) Employee/contact level: from the employee record or contact record>Detail
This setting overrides the company-level setting. It will define the Time a calendar meeting will be displayed on the individual's calendar. For contacts, they do not have calendar access in Workamajig, so this will affect the meeting notification that is sent to the contact. The invite will display the contacts' "local time" for the meeting.
3) Employee/individual level: from login: click on name>Default settings
This setting overrides the company-level setting and will reset the employee record settings.
Multi-currency
For those that deal with clients and vendors from outside countries or within the EU, Workamajig allows you to set up multi-currency tracking. This will allow you to bill clients and pay vendors in any selected currency. Financial reporting remains in the "home" currency. For more on this, please review our Multi-currency overview guide.
