Mobile interface [guide]

To access the mobile (i.e. responsive) interface of Workamajig, simply open your web browser on your phone or tablet and enter in the URL that you would normally use on your desktop computer.

For example, open the Safari/Chrome app on your mobile device and enter the URL of "servername.com/platinum".

While you cannot do everything that the desktop design can, the goal is to provide you with all the tools you would need while on the go. This includes entering time, looking up a contact, or reviewing a deliverable.

Login screen

When you first open Platinum on your Devices Browser, you will be presented with a login screen.

Upon logging in, you should be directed to your Default Page as per your profile settings. For example, this is what the Today - Creatives page looks like in the mobile interface.

Toolbar and Actions

You can access the Toolbar and Actions by tapping once on the blue box in the lower right of the screen.

Here is an example of what the full menu looks like when clicked.

You can also open the Notifications, Global Search and Profile options.

Enter time

From the Today - Creatives page

Tap on the Clock Icon of the assigned task.

You are given the option to add a New Time Entry or to Start a Timer.

When choosing New Time Entry from an assigned task, all the details are filled in. You just need to enter how many hours you worked. Then tap Save to complete.

From the time sheet

You can also add a New Time Entry from the Time sheet page.

You can choose from Assigned Tasks, to fill in the details. Or choose Insert Row to start with a blank time entry.

From Insert Row, you then have to fill in the details, which are subject to various conditions. Then tap Save to complete.

Find a contact

The quickest way to find a contact is to use the search from the toolbar. Tap on the blue square to access the toolbar.

Then tap on the spyglass to open the search page, and search for the name in question.

You can tap on the phone number in blue to trigger your phone's call action.

Review a deliverable

Open Deliverables sent to you for review.

To see the Deliverables you have open for review, start by clicking the Blue button in the lower right.

Next, click on Notifications from the toolbar.

Then click on Deliverables (if you have some to review).

Click in the Deliverable you wish to review.

Here is an example of what the review screen will look like.

NOTE: When there are multiple files, a prompt appears for you to choose.

Adding/Viewing Comments

NOTE: When viewing or adding comments in the mobile interface, markups are disabled.

Make a Decision

When you are ready to make a decision, here is what your screen would look like.

Creating a shortcut/app icon on your mobile device

NOTE: These steps may change over time per the manufactures/developers of these devices. So this is for reference only.

Apple

  1. From your Apple device, Tap on your Safari browser. NOTE: Other browsers may not be able to make desktop shortcuts on iPhone.
  2. Enter your server address, (i.e. www.servername.com/platinum) then Go.
  3. Tap on the Middle Icon in the bottom tray to open the Browser Settings, then Tap on Add to Home Screen.
  4. You will then be prompted to give it a name. It should default to Workamajig as the name. Tap on Add.
  5. You can now find the newly created shortcut to your Workamajig account among your desktop apps.
  6. Tap on this new desktop app/shortcut to open.
  7. When you open Workamajig from the desktop app/shortcut, the address bar is now hidden, which gives you more screen space and makes it appear and function as if it's an installed "app" instead of a browser page.
  8. Once logged in, you are then directed to your Default Page as per your profile settings.

Android

  1. Tap on your Chrome browser. NOTE: Other browsers may be able to add desktop shortcuts too.
  2. Enter your server address, (i.e. www.servername.com/platinum) then Go.
  3. Tap on the Three Dots to open the Browser Settings, then Tap on Add to Home screen.
  4. You will then be prompted to give it a name. It should default to Workamajig as the name. Tap on ADD.
  5. You can now find the newly created shortcut to your Workamajig account among your desktop apps.
  6. Tap on this new desktop app/shortcut to open.
  7. When you open Workamajig from the desktop app/shortcut, the address bar is now hidden, which gives you more screen space and makes it appear and function as if it's an installed "app" instead of a browser page.
  8. Once logged in, you are then directed to the Default Page as per your profile settings.
