LABS - New Side Navigation
What's New! | Enabling Labs | Resources
Starting in the July update, we are slowly rolling out parts of the new UI. The first of these enhancements will be the Main Menu. It will now be a side menu that you can collapse or expand. While always visible.
NOTES:
- Display Themes will be deprecated in a future update to make way for a better UI customization experience coming in the August update. More on that later.
- Users with the Display Theme of Next Era or Next Era Dark (or using the default, or never enabled Display Themes) will notice a change overall, even if this Lab is not enabled.
- Users with the Display Theme of Moody Blues will notice a change in the icons/buttons. The top menu will change if you enable this lab.
- While Workamajig Classic Users will not see a change in the UI unless they enable this lab. The top menu will change if you enable this lab.
What's New!
In this update, we are beginning with the New Side Navigation.
The menu items themselves have not changed, just the way you can interact with them.
Don't worry, Custom Menus still work.
And the Show All Apps toggle at the bottom of the menu now works both ways, without having to refresh the menu.
You can collapse the menu to make it more streamlined and always accessible.
Enabling Labs
You can enable Labs for the company or as an individual.
Company
Navigate to Menu > Admin Manager > System Setup > Account Information > Workjamajig Labs.
Look for New Side Navigation and toggle on Enable.
Individual
NOTE: To enable Labs as an individual, you either need to be an Administrator or have the security group right "Allow a person to enable labs just for themselves".
Click on your Profile in the upper right of the toolbar.
Click on the ... three dots and choose Manage My Labs from the drop-down list.
Look for New Side Navigation and toggle on Enable.
