Strata sync - StrataLink tool [in-depth guide]

NOTE:
If you are using Strata online, we are already coordinating with Freewheel to update the StrataLink tool. There is nothing that you need to do in regard to this update.

The StrataLink tool lets you easily import print & broadcast orders from the Strata media buying system into Workamajig. The tool will import & update orders created within Strata. The link tool will not delete any information in Workamajig. If you need to delete an order, you must delete it in both places. The sync process will also sync several setup files in the system to make it easier to add new clients & vendors. This is also helpful when you need to update vendor information.

NOTE: For those using Strata version 19.x+, the StrataLink tool will sync Interactive using a new method. For those not using Interactive, there will be no changes.

Using locally installed Strata

The StrataLink tool can only be used on a computer running Windows as the native OS or as a virtual machine via Boot Camp, etc.

The tool does NOT work on Mac OS or Linux.

The tool will work on a 32bit or 64bit system.

To run the StrataLink tool, you must install the appropriate version of .Net 2.0.

• 32-bit .Net file - You can download the file from HERE.
• 64-bit .Net file - You will need to download the correct version of the .Net framework 4.5 or higher for your operating system from www.microsoft.com.

Using online/hosted version of Strata

The StrataLink tool is provided as a link from the Strata interface. Please ask your Strata representative for details.

The tool is accessed via a Citrix window and will work on Windows or MacOS. 

NOTE: If you are using the web-based version of Strata, for troubleshooting purposes, we may ask for a log file of the sync. Click HERE for instructions.

For the StrataLink tool version, Strata may not always update to the latest version automatically, so you will need to contact your Strata representative.

As of 2.5.6 of Strata and 10.5.0.9 of Workamajig, there is now an override option available in the StrataLink tool.
