Forgot password [in-depth guide]
Workamajig allows for automated password reset via email for individual users.
NOTES:
- If your agency is using SSO for login verification, this feature does not work.
- For security reasons, we do not inform the user when filling out the form, if this feature is enabled or not for that instance/User ID.

System Setup
To enable this, you will need to have access to Menu > Admin/Manager > System Setup > Security Settings.
- From the Security Settings screen, click on Global Options at the top.
- Next, check the box next to Allow Users To Request A Password Reset Email.
- Save.
NOTE: There are a number of password settings that can be defined by administrators.
User workflow
From your login screen, you should see a clickable link called Forgot Password?.
By clicking on Forgot Password?, you will then be prompted to enter your User ID.
If the User ID is valid, then you will see the following response.
Check your email inbox. If it is not in the Inbox, check your SPAM folder.

Click the Link.
NOTE: The provided link auto-expires in 24 hrs.
Enter and Confirm the new password.
Then click Reset Password.
The screen will refresh to the Workamajig Sign In page > Enter your User ID and "new" password > Click Sign In.
Troubleshooting
- If you get an error that your User ID is not valid, confirm the server address in the browser address field is the correct URL and try again.
