iCal/calDAV Calendar Sync
UPDATE: There is a know issue with MAC OS Sequoia 15.4 that affects ALL caldav connections, not just with Workamajig. It is recommended that you do not update at your MAC at this time. If you have updated, feel free to send feedback to Apple with your concerns.
As an alternative to the caldav way of syncing, you can now "subscribe" to your Workamajig Calendar from Apple Calendar. See the Subscribe To Workamajig Calendar section below.
iCal/CalDAV allows Workamajig to sync with iPhone, Apple Calendar, and any other calendar system that allows for use of a CalDAV account. This is a two-way sync between personal calendars only. Please note that some calendar meeting features supported in iPhone, Apple Calendar, and Workamajig may not be supported on the other side.
NOTE: You can read/write to your personal calendar only!!! If you try to sync with other users' calendars using your Workamajig username and password, you can only view their calendars via CalDAV, even though you may have edit rights to their calendar within Workamajig's interface.

Hosting your own CalDAV server
If you host our Workamajig application on a server you maintain, then you will need to enable CalDAV support for your web server. Depending on the version of the IIS server you are running, please follow the steps outlined HERE.
NOTE: If you are using LDAP authentication, the CalDAV sync does not support LDAP Authentication. If you have people that need to sync using CalDAV, you will need to set up a Username and Password in Workamajig.
- iCal (requires version 3.0.7 and above)
How to sync with Apple Calendar (Desktop Computer)
If you are on one of our app servers, or your IT folks have enabled CalDAV on your server, here is how you sync your calendar to iCal (or a similar CalDAV-enabled application).
Take note of your server address/path. You can copy this to your clipboard by going to Workamajig > go to your Calendar > double-click on your default calendar > this opens the calendar properties > copy the CalDAV URL provided. As this will be useful for the next steps.
Mac OS X El Capitan version 10.11.2 (Calendar version 8.0)
Go to System Preferences > Internet Accounts > Add Other Account > CalDAV Account.
- Account Type: Change to Advanced for the following options to appear.
- User Name: Your Workamajig Login ID.
- Password: Your Workamajig Password.
-
Server Address: Your Workamajig Server, for example, "app##.workamajig.com".
NOTE: Do NOT enter https:// - Server Path: By default its "/caldav/YourUsername/Default_Calendar/".
- Port: 443.
- Use SSL: Check this.
- Use Kerberos v5 for authentication: Not checked.
Click Sign In, then give it a few moments.
You should now have a live two-way sync of your Workamajig default calendar appearing in your Apple Calendar.
NOTE: If you host your own Workamajig server and do not have an SSL Certificate, then you may need to uncheck Use SSL and enter a different port, such as 80.
OS 10.9 (Mavericks)
Open Calendar > Calendar > Preferences > New Account > select Add CalDAV Account...> Account Type = Advanced > Enter User Name and Password for accessing Workamajig > Paste the URL you copied from Workamajig into Server Address, leave Server Path: blank > Enter Port: 443, check Use SSL > Create.
How to sync with an iPhone
Similar to the above, you use the iCal features within the iPhone interface.
In Workamajig: Open Calendar > double-click on the calendar you want to use. The CalDAV address you need is displayed here.
On iPhone: Open Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Add Account > Other > Add CalDAV Account > Enter in full server address from Workamajig, including the https://; Your Workamajig User Name and Password > Next. The iPhone will verify the calendar. Go back to Calendar to select and use.
Android and CalDAV
Since there is no native/built-in CalDAV calendar on Android devices, you can search the market for CalDAV sync apps. Then you would connect in the same way as detailed above.
Subscribe To Workamajig Calendar
You can now use Apple Calendar's subscription feature to connect to your Workamajig Calendar for a one way sync.
To start, copy the URL from your Workamajig Calendar Options and Settings.
Next, in Apple Calendar go to File > New Calendar Subscription.
Paste the link from the Workamajig Calendar. And click Subscribe.
This will add another item to your Calendar's list to view inline with your other items.
