Custom reports [overview]
You can create custom reports based on datasets within the application. To do this, you must first have access to create such reports within the system and then be able to access the dataset on which to build the report.
This overview has links to more detailed steps on how to create these types of reports.
When creating a custom report in Platinum, it will be automatically set to "Private" for the person that created the report. This person will need to go to the settings tab and decide which security group will have access to the report by unchecking 'private' and making selections under the 'visible to' area.
There are other features, such as our APIs, that allow access to report data directly from our database so you can create your reports on your side.
NOTE: Custom reports do not adhere to other security rights. For example, if you cannot see labor net/cost in the day-to-day pages of the system, but you have access to a report such as one built using the Time Detail Data custom report dataset, then you can see the labor cost in this report only. But do not worry, that is why we offer a variant of this report in the form of Time detail data (no costs).
NOTE: These settings also apply to the Views section within each of the Today pages. So if you can edit a custom report, you can also edit the report views.
TIP: As an administrator, you can be the one who creates the report and gives read-only access to other security groups, so they cannot make or modify custom reports on their own.

You can also refer to the Custom reports dataset guide for names and descriptions of each available dataset.
We also have Advanced reporting features if you would like to go more in-depth about what the reports have to offer.
