Moving users to Platinum from Flash [in-depth guide]

Flash support is going away!

Most popular browsers, along with Adobe, will discontinue support for Flash as of Dec 2020. You may wish to force your users into using the Workamajig Html5-based UI, Workamajig Platinum, before this.

Below are the instructions for setting the system to force a login to Workamajig Platinum.

How to force users to Workamajig Platinum from Workamajig Classic

1) From Menu > Admin/manager > System setup

2) Account information > System options: Security settings

3) at the top of the screen, click on Global options

4) Check>>Other options: 'force all users to use Platinum' >>SAVE

When the user logs in via the flash version URL, they will be brought to the Flash login screen. 

When they click Login, the system will open to the Workamajig Platinum UI.

 

NOTE: To log in to Flash/Classic version, you must uncheck the 'force all users to use Platinum'.

 

The Flash/Classic version is still accessible using Adobe AIR. However, no further updates or enhancements have been or will be made to the Classic UI, and some features may cause conflicts with Platinum data. So it is recommended that this method of access is not used.
